Simple Sheets

Surely you are familiar with Microsoft Excel, the tool that can be used to work with spreadsheets. In that case, I am just going to jump ahead and tell you that Algorithms In Motion has a nice alternative to Microsoft Excel – it’s good looking and user friendly Simple Sheets application. Get it and use it to view, edit, create, and print out spreadsheets.

As expected, a setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. It must be mentioned that while installing Simple Sheets, the setup wizard will ask you to select the file types you want to automatically open with this application. You can select the following file types: CSV, XLS, XLSM, XLSX.

The application’s interface is divided into two panels.
The one on the left displays buttons for the following functions: create a new document, open an existing document, enter a valid license for your Simple Sheets copy.
The one on the right displays large thumbnails for the files you recently opened. Left click a thumbnail to open the file; right click it and you will be presented with several options, including one that allows you to remove the file from the recent list.

If someone sends you a spreadsheet, use Simple Sheets to open and view the spreadsheet. If you find any problems with the spreadsheet, you can use Simple Sheets to edit it. When you’re done, you can save the new spreadsheet (you can save it as a CSV, XLS, XLSM, or XLSX file) or you can print it out. If the spreadsheet you received isn’t done properly at all, you can get started from scratch and create a new one. So to recap, you can use Simple Sheets to view, edit, print, and create spreadsheets.

Simple Sheets is not free, it is only free to try. You can use it for 30 days for free, for evaluation purposes. Once the trial period expires, you will have to purchase a license.

Simple Sheets will meet all your spreadsheets-related needs. Use it to create new spreadsheets, open and edit existing spreadsheets, save spreadsheets as a supported format, and print out spreadsheets.
